We are Recruiting! Current Nursery Vacancies

It has been a marvellous year so far at Le Monde Petit Nursery, so much so that we have had lots of new families join us to use us for their childcare needs.  As our numbers are growing it has meant we need to recruit more nursery practitioners to join our Burnley nursery team. The job vacancies we currently have are as follows:

  • Nursery Room Leader/Supervisor/Duty Manager
  • Full Time Nursery Practitioner X 2

The Right Person for the Job

The nursery is open Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 6.00pm so you would work 40 hours a week on varied shifts between these times.  We have very high standards here at Le Monde Petit Nursery so if you are thinking of applying we would expect you to have at least a Level 3 childcare qualification and for you to be very knowledgeable of the Early Years Foundation Stage. The personal qualities we look for when employing a nursery practitioner are that you are very passionate about your childcare career, and enthusiastic about  helping children to learn through a variety of methods whether that child is a baby, a toddler or a pre-schooler. If you are interested in applying for the job of Nursery Room Leader, this would require you to show that you have the ability to lead a team, that you could set a good example for your peers on a daily basis, that you would be able to accept the added responsibility of being the duty manager of the nursery as and when required, and that you would be able to competently deal with any situation which may arise in nursery.

An Outstanding Nursery Environment

We are a very busy children’s nursery and as such we have lots of families coming through our doors every day, so for nursery practitioners and room leaders alike, you must be prepared to work hard and help us continue to provide an outstanding environment for each and everyone of our children while maintaining good and positive relationships with their parents. We put great value on this aspect of nursery life and believe that a full and detailed account of how each child has spent their day with us should be fed back to parents or whoever may be collecting the child on a daily basis.  You should look at each child individually and be creative in planning activities based around that child’s interest to enable them to learn in a way that is the best for them, and you will be provided with a table to record observations digitally giving you as a practitioner optimum time to spend with the children rather than writing up long observations and printing pictures.

What Makes Us a Great Place to Work?

We are a very friendly team here at Le Monde Petit and have an excellent support system from the management team. In addition to a Deputy Manager and a Nursery Manager, there is also a Managing Director and a Chairman who are all always available for support, mentoring and help with professional development. We run a bonus scheme where your work is assessed on a termly basis and you will be financially rewarded for good practice. There is also a fully subsidised annual Christmas party and also a staff outing each year where we all go out together and take part in a fun activity based around team building – in the past we have done an urban treasure hunt, camping, tubing and lugeing at Chill Factore, canal boating, bushcraft and even Tough Mudder!
