This room caters for children aged 2-4 years who attend term-time using their 15 hours a week of free entitlement childcare. It is designed to enable children to explore freely within the nursery environment. The curriculum mirrors that of our Little Explorers and Nursery School rooms ensuring your child receives exactly the same quality childcare and education.
The provisions available in this room are set up in a way which allows children to engage in activities of their choosing whilst nursery practitioners interact sensitively to enhance activities and engage in critical thinking.
The children in the Little Inventors Room have continuous free flow access to the outdoor classroom enabling the children to choose whether to explore the indoor or the outdoor environment available to them at nursery.
Observations are recorded by nursery practitioners and used when planning next steps in children’s learning and development. Children’s own interests are also used to inform planning and to enhance areas of learning and play appropriately.
Nursery Practitioner in Little Inventors
I have two children of my own and it’s great having the opportunity to work term time only meaning I have a good work-life balance and have the opportunity to spend time with my children during the holidays. I love contributing to the development of young two, three and four year olds. I have a level 3 in childcare and I really enjoy outdoor play and exploring the garden with the children here at Le Monde Petit Nursery. I plan lots of interesting and fun activities to help my groups develop their skills in lots of areas.
