Little Discoverers is a larger space for older babies who are becoming more mobile and need an area to learn to walk and develop their inquisitiveness and independence.
Our nursery practitioners discuss in detail with parents and carers your baby’s routine, comforters and interests to ensure continuity of care and a smooth transition from home life to nursery life.
The babies have the opportunity for lots of outdoor experiences – they spend time daily in our nursery gardens, and practitioners regularly take them for walks to the local park to see the ducks and the local wildlife.
Daily diaries are completed to be taken home, so even if you can’t collect your child yourself and therefore don’t get the opportunity to speak with your child’s keyperson at the end of your baby’s day at nursery, you will still be informed of meals provided, nappy changes and sleep times and a detailed account of your child’s day at nursery. We also keep a Learning Journey file on e-tablets for each baby to record through photographs and videos the progress, development and achievements your baby makes at nursery.
Deputy Room Leader & Nursery Practitioner in Little Discoverers
I came to Le Monde Petit after gaining 4 years’ experience at another nursery. I look after the older babies in Little Discoverers and I am qualified to Level 5 in childcare and early years.
Nursery Practitioner in Little Discoverers
I work with children because I feel I have the ability to encourage them to achieve their full potential by stimulating their enthusiasm for learning and also their determination to succeed. During my studies in childcare and my experience working in nurseries, I have learned that every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support to enable them to fulfill their potential. I really enjoy caring for the babies in the Little Discoverers room here at Le Monde Petit.
